We are very proud to welcome you to our
website and we hope that you will take the time to browse
through our pages that showcase the Collies that we have owned
or bred or that have been an influence in our breeding program
here at Breagha.
Breagha Collies are situated one hour North
– West of Sydney nestled in the Hawkesbury one of New South
Wales ‘best kept secrets’. With 17 small towns and villages to
explore, 5 rivers, and more than 70 percent of our area being
National Parks, The Hawkesbury is a haven for adventure and
nature lovers, as well as for art and history lovers alike.
Much like the beauty of the Hawkesbury,
Breagha strives to capture the essence of the Collie Rough.
Though glamorous in the ring our Collies are more than just
showpieces. We're passionate to maintain the structure, type,
temperament and other attributes to work as well as show.
My affiliation with this magnificent breed
spans 3 generations of family involvement, as a young girl I
successfully competed in all levels of Child Handlers and
qualified for Sydney Royal in the 7 under 13 years age group. I
exhibited and titled many dogs in the Central West of NSW until
the year 2000 when I made the exciting decision to move to
Sydney to be with my now husband Adrian Woodbury.
Since then, we have embarked on a path and had a clear
vision of what style of Collies we wanted to breed. Testament to
this, since the year 2000 we have bred & exhibited, the Best in
Show winner of the 2009 Collie National, Multiple Grand
Champions, Multiple Champions, Multiple Best in Group winners,
Multiple Best in Show winners at both All Breeds and Specialty
levels, Multiple Royal Best of Breed winners and 2 Supreme
Champions with another one not too far away.
The most exciting time in our lives was
when my husband and I welcomed our son Jack into the world in
April 2010. Jack has enriched our lives and we feel truly
blessed. We are very proud of our family and are also proud of
our lovely dogs past and present wonderful achievements in and
out of the show ring.
